Taller de Dior

¡Buenas noches!

A ver cuándo Inma organiza otro.

Dior workshop

Good night! How’s your weekend? So, tomorrow is Monday, but is good to know that this Friday we have holidays because it is the Father’s Day. And… this Saturday is my birthday! 24 years!

Last Friday Inma put on her blog some photos and videos of the Dior workshop (I think it’s the correct English word, please correct me if not) we did on Monday. I told you that I will show the photos so here they are. To see all things I invite you to visit the blog Beauty Victim, where you can find more photos, the explanations (but in spanish) and the participant’s looks.

The truth is that we had a good time, lots of Dior makeup things that we could use! And all looked so nice! I liked very much a spray makeup they used, I’ve heard about them, but never use and they look very good on the skin, it looks uniform. When I was older and had more money, I will buy one of them, hahaha. And all the things we had to make lights on the face, the blush…. looked as we see on magazine’s pictures. What a depression when you go home and nothing looks the same, hahaha.

Well, this pic was took when he was using the concealer. The makeup artist explained us that made a star on the forehead brings good luck in the fashion show and give more light to your face.

Another interesting fact for me was how he make up the eyes. First Junior (the makeup artist) applied a dark gel base and then with the fingers a colorful eye shadow. It looked wonderful, the same color as we see in the pallet. You can see it on the photo. And when I went home I tried it with my gel eyeliner but… it wasn’t the same. I will search for another cheap way to have this effect because I liked it so much.

Another fact we learnt is how to remove the lipstick excess to not dirty our teeth. Open your mouth, put your finger inside, close and get out the finger (as sucking it). It’s a little bit “dirty”, I know, but it works, although you better do it when you are alone or someone can misinterpret it…you know, hahaha. We also learnt how to give light to your lips. Once you put some lipstick, put the mouth as the model on the pic and use a lighter lipstick. It looks good.

And here we are all the participants and models with Junior. I’m on the left, a little head with bangs that you can’t see very well (we were so many people for a photo). I was happy because we could meet all the girls, it’s funny. Ah! And they invited us to have something: mini-croissants, orange juice (fresh, with quality) ... And at the end champagne, Moët, what a luxury! Hahaha. Seriously, all was so delicious and they were so nice. And a tip, NEVER wear high heels to go to a thing like that, I’ve been up from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and when I arrived home I nearly cry. The next time, comfortable shoes, let the fashion away for other occasions.

Here I am as professional makeup artist! Maybe I didn’t do it very bad because Zulheika, the model, only removed the red lips and went home with the eyes done. Anyway, it was funny because she studies in the same university and campus as me, what a coincidence.

And here was Diana on the back snooping. First she did the makeup and then I did another. While one was making up the model, the other told her what didn’t look good, gave advices… we have a great time. It was so difficult to make up another person, I was so nervous. But at the end all was right.

And that is the workshop experience. Hope that Inma organizes another one. By the way, I wanna thank her for invite us
